For me, striker is the hardest position to play on the pitch. You have to be smart to read the game because its coming toward you, so its harder to anticipate. Good striker have the unitangible things like being in the right place at the right time (positioning), always being open for an outlet pass. FINISHING!!!

Anyways good luck, you'll get better the more you play ther obviously.

I've always been told that Inside Middies...or Central Mids are the playmakers. They move the play forward and make some of the most important passes of the game. My coach (collage champ and All American...list goes on) has told me that it's one of the most difficult positions on the field...people often have to be born to play the position. He tell me that I'm by nature a midfielder and I've strived to make myself a strong central mid...thus training in every position availible to me. Striker position besides Central mid is another one of my favorite positions...I mean who doesn't want to score goals? Striker to me is where I was put to better read the field...and better my finish. Before you become a striker, you should really play in the sweeper position. Even though most strikers hate the defensive roles...middies are the same way, you read the field from the prospective of a goalie..without actually being a goalie. It better helps you understand everyone's job. I've played in every position enough to understand and be good at all of them to a certain degree. I spent many years mastering the fundentmentals of all of them. It's made me a valuable player in the midfield.

Spend time learning every position on the field...and seeing everyone's perspective of the game. Your coach, if he/she is good, will welcome the offer to learn other positions...it worked well for me. I have a whole new respect for the game.
