How many hours a day should a 14 year old player train? I have 2 hours of running a day with my track team and then another 2 when i have soccer practice. How many hours on top of track practice should I put in?

well it depends on how serious you take football. You say you train 2 hours a day with your track team, but in my opinion that is not a good workout because you are a football player and not a track star. Don't get me wrong i also ran track its a good base for football but you should be doing more start stop sort of drills, low speed to high speed down to moderate speed up to maximum speed then down to low speed. Also in that 2 hour practice with your team how many touches on you getting on the ball? because in that 2 hour practice there is probably a 10-20 minute warm up, sprints, jogging, and long distance running. Also you have to wait in line when your doing a shooting drill or dribbling drills through pylons. so in that 120 minute training session your only probably getting 60 minutes of touches. you should probably run 2 a days. atleast get 2 practices in a day of football. Find out technique drills and do them on your own, you dont have to put running into that practice on your own because by the sounds of things your probably in pretty good shape. You should be getting atleast 2 practices in a day.
