SUNDAY SIGNED: LARRY FITZGERALD
19 April 2010
While most kids dream about being part of a professional football organization, Larry Fitzgerald couldn’t wait. As a ball boy for Minnesota in high school, he got to see first hand the kind of athleticism, dedication and work ethic it would take to one day play pro ball. And so he got to work, adding size and speed, perfecting his route running and developing some of the surest hands the game’s ever seen. His passion and focus would lead to a storied college career, one that made the pro scouts realize that Larry wasn’t just another good receiver – he was special. This was confirmed on April 24, 2004, when Larry was selected by Arizona with the third overall pick. Check out Larry describe the energy and emotion around that day, when the kid from Minnesota became part of a pro organization for the second time.
