Laura Enever: ASP World Junior Champ
18 January 2010
Surfing in front of a hometown crowd in North Narrabeen, OZ, local girl Laura Enever clinched this year's Billabong World Junior Championship. The Nike 6.0 surfer was on fire all contest long as she marched her way to the final, where she dismantled Alessa Quizon to take home the title."It’s always been my dream to win here at my home break,’’ said Laura."I just wanted to go out and have fun and that’s what I did. This is my home and I’m so stoked to be here with all my friends and
family giving me so much support. This is the best day of my life."
Laura is the second Nike 6.0 surfer to win the coveted World Junior title in as many years, after Kai Barger won the men's event last year. Laura will now set her sights on the WQS as she looks to join her 6.0 teammates Coco Ho and Carissa Moore on the World Championship Tour.
Huge congrats Laura on a big win and an amazing season!
