MY FIRST POST!

Hey Everyone!

My name is Brittany Jones-Cooper and I am the first ever Nike Field Reporter! (Wow, that feels really cool to say) You might be wondering how this wonderful opportunity presented itself to me. Well, Vern Davis is a faculty member at my old high school. We still keep in touch, and one day she sent me an e-mail. In the e-mail was the link to the Nike Field Reporter competition and a message that simply said, “I think you’ll be perfect for this.” I took one look at the site and thought the same thing. Two days later I grabbed a camera, stuffed some marshmallows in my mouth, and the rest is history.

To say that I am shocked is the understatement of the century. I have had two passions in my life; sports and broadcasting. The fact that I will be able to mesh both worlds together just floors me…. But that is exactly what I will get to do for the next six months!

I feel extremely blessed that I was chosen, among the other very talented candidates, to help launch this program. The rest of the Nike team and I have so many awesome ideas and we look forward to your input too! Don’t be shy; feel free to send me messages, questions, and comments. I’d love to hear from you.
