Known as the live music capital of the world, Austin, Texas is one of America’s biggest hubs for aspiring young artists and musicians. With a southern style that’s a little bit country, little bit rock n’ roll, the locals of the Lone Star State capital know how to stay chic while looking effortlessly cool. We wanted to learn more about the city’s hip and eclectic fashion scene and see how Austin women sport the swoosh, so we sent Nike stylist
Christiaan Choy to Texas to get the inside scoop. Here’s what he had to report:
Crystal
“Crystal naturally has a very athletic and feminine sense of style. She took an ultra cool Nike jacket and a pair of Nike training capris and paired them with knee-high black suede boots, a multi-colored floral bustier, and gorgeous gold accessories, my favorite being the gold chain headband. Her outfit was the perfect marriage of sporty and sexy styles.”

Ava
“Ava is a very feminine girl with a touch of classic Texan style. I adore how she wore her Nike Time Out Shirt off of her shoulder and paired it with 80's inspired acid washed jeans -- very Flashdance! Her layered necklaces and turquoise cuff incorporated her feminine sensibilities while her cowgirl boots showed that she’s a true Texas girl. What's more, Ava added an element of cool and laid back style to her look by carrying a Nike tote with teal and white stripes.”

Chelsea
“I would call Chelsea's look ‘How the West Was Fun!’ This girl definitely has a unique style to match her irreverently cool persona. Chelsea understands that sometimes it’s the accessories that make the look. Her western-themed necklaces and belt paired with her amazing red cowgirl boots works so well with the neutral tones of her maxi skirt and tank, as well as the Nike 6.0 shirt which adds a perfect touch of masculinity to her otherwise ultra-feminine ‘cowgirl chic’ look.”
