QUIT AND GET FIT


It’s spring, which means it’s time to quit and get fit. Say goodbye to monthly membership fees we’re taking our push-ups to the park.

News flash gym rats, training doesn’t have to happen within the confinement of four walls to be effective. Forget trendy treadmill classes and take your sneaks to the streets. Nothing matches the mind, body and soul buzz you get from pounding the pavement.

Not a runner? Try dips on a park bench or single legged squats. Amp up your reps and there’s no need for extra iron, body weight will have your triceps and hammys singin’ in no time.

Remember recess, the domain where you once reigned as Keeper of Four Square or Queen of Kick Ball? Revisit the monkey bars and challenge a friend to a pull up show down. Or run the school steps for an anaerobic burn.

So trade in the over priced, protein shakes and complimentary towel service for a helping of fresh air and a good drip dry in the sun. Spring training starts now.
