For whatever reason I go through phases where I despise the gym. My least liked time is right after New Year's; it's a lot of rookies. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Other times, I just want to work out alone, or I don't want to have to deal with the hassle of actually driving there. When these gym lapses occur, I turn on my TV and hit the On Demand section. Exercise TV became my saving grace when I didn't feel like hitting the gym. I didn't think it got better than that. Then I discovered the Nike Training Club, it's like the newer model of Exercise TV. I signed up and made my mini and set goals for myself and invited others to be competitors also. The best part, I don't have to be in front of my TV at all. I could be at work, I could be in the airport, I could be in the park, all I need is my iPod Touch (I'm not cool enough to own an iPhone). It makes my life so much simpler, it creates a workout regimen for me, and basically I sit back and relax, until it comes time to actually work out. No one can do that part for me! It tells me when I'm going to have a gruesome day, days I can rest and also how far I've come over the weeks. And, it's not like a word document I pull up and it says, “Okay, now do 20 push-ups." Videos, its all videos. I can literally pull up the Nike Training App anywhere I'm connected to Wi-Fi (which is just about everywhere these days) and do my thing. What an amazing program this is. I suggest to anyone toting around an iPod Touch or iPhone to install this free app. It's by far my favorite, how could you not like an application that helps you better yourself?
