My last official duty as the Nike Field Reporter was to host the opening of the Nike Store in Eugene, Oregon. Eugene is the birthplace of Nike, so what better place to have the birth of its newest store!

The first day I greeted new customers to the store and interviewed Adam and Kara Goucher, who have both made big names for themselves in the running world. They came down to Eugene with their coach and running legend Alberto Salazar. I talked to the three of them about their ...

In the past, following the black line was usually the way I spent my time in the pool. However, I have found a new way to enjoy the water and keep in shape without having to swim back and forth numerous times. My friend Whitney King, a trainer, was telling me about this deep water exercise class she was teaching. I thought to myself, “I wouldn't want to waste my worko...

I thought completing a marathon was a major accomplishment. The 2,463 athletes that awoke long before sunrise on a Sunday this month believed otherwise. These athletes were about to embark on one of the hardest endurance events in the world - the Ironman, consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run. After the starting horn, the almost 2,500 athlete...

I consider myself lucky to have lived near the beach the majority of my life. This summer, while at home, I really wanted to take advantage of my surroundings. I went kiteboarding, parasailing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and now surfing. I first tried surfing when I lived in Hawaii, but I wanted to go through a lesson to learn the basics and proper techniques.

What I like best about it: The loose casual fit. Wearing it made me realize that all my training gear is tight/ form fitted and it is a nice change.

I would probably use it for: I use it to run on chilly days, or to throw on after a trip to the gym.

What's good about the fit: It's very comfortable and relaxed.

You don't go on a treadmill run and then lift weights at Strength Time you are using your maximum effort to produce results.
