22 FORCE FATE: CANADA'S NATIONAL JUNIOR TEAM DECIDED
16 December 2009
And then there were 22.
Canada's National Junior team was announced today for the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship, and we were there for the excitement. Of the 35 players invited to attend selection camp, the 22 chosen will lead the charge for Canada's 6th straight gold medal.
These young Canadians know their fate lies in their very own talented and capable hands. They’ve proven it at the camp and now they’ll prove it on the world stage.
Canada plays its first game against Latvia on December 26, and we’re going to have behind-the-scenes coverage, photos and athlete interviews by our field reporter at the WJC: YouTube hockey blogging icon Steve Dangle.
Get ready. Boxing Day is going to take on a whole new meaning.
Eberle’s locker is set up as he guns for his second World Junior Gold.
Team Canada jerseys await those who have earned the right to wear them.
(L to R) Gabriel Bourque, Calvin de Haan, Brandon McMillan wait to be called for
their place in the team photo.
