Canada vs USA - The rivalry to end all rivalries. Especially in women’s hockey. The Canada vs USA six-game series continues this Saturday, December 12th in Denver. Canada iced the US in the first two games of the series and they’re on the hunt for a clean sweep.

The importance of this exhibition series couldn’t be more overstated. The two sparring countries are expected to go head-to-head in the Olympic final on Feb. 25 barring an upset, so any advantage could be the difference between Gold and Silver.

The Americans have held the upper hand in the border brawl for the last two years, but the feisty and never-say-die women on Team Canada have shown that they’re in charge of their own fate - not the U.S. Their battle back to the top is the very definition of Force Fate. Fight harder than your opponent and you’ll get the result you want.

“We got together as a team and spent 5 weeks out in Northern B.C. doing just about anything you can imagine on and off the ice to get us prepared for the U.S and the Olympics - sometimes doing 7 workouts a day,” Team Canada’s Gillian Apps recalls. Teammate Jayna Hefford pipes in, "It’s very heated on the ice, but we try to learn as much as we can from each game, so we can apply that learning at the Vancouver games. We're going for the jugular.”

That’s exactly what Canada did when they beat the US for the gold medal at the 4 Nations Cup in November. With the Olympics only months away, it appears all the training is paying off - Coincidence? Destiny? Not a chance. These Canadian women are proof that you can force fate if you want it bad enough. And this team wants it bad.

Follow the rivalry and watch the suspenseful storyline unfold through to the Olympics and see why Canadian girls kick butt.
