Your Game
"It depends on the key attributes of your game. If your game is about speed then Mercurial is for you. But if you're a striker then the striking power of T90 is for you!"

Synthetic vs Natural Leather
"I think there are two camps of players, some that love synthetic leather and some that love natural leather. We want to provide for both. Remember that synthetics have come a long way. The material like Kanga-Lite that we use feels and plays very similar to Natural Leather. But it won’t stretch or absorb water over time."

The Right Weight
"Lightweight is definitely a key factor for us, but there are a lot things that make-up a great boot. For us it's about the right weight and not just being lightweight."

Design Process
"From beginning to end it takes our team around 24 months to design, develop, test and build the boots from start to finish. It's a long process but it is worth it when you see & play in the finished boot!"

Wide Feet
"I see a lot of questions about which boot works best for wider feet. In general T90, Tiempo and CTR are designed on the same form and any of these work well. You can also try going up a half size or get specific width fittings for T90 on www.nikeid.com"

Future Factors
"I can't give too much away on the Laser IV right now, but we will definitely be refining the weight to accommodate the needs of the modern striker. For us weight is only one of the factors."

Constant Improvement
"We are always continuing to speak with T90 Players and understand how we can improve every new design. For Laser III we really wanted to increase the contact area (strike zone). The big step forward started with the Laser I where we focused on enhancing the striking zone. Laser II and III we've continued to refine the technology."

Shot Field
"The shot shield moves with the foot, adapts with the foot and most importantly allows for a powerful strike. The pro players tell us they love it!"

Blades
"From our research we felt that the blades would allow you to have faster traction which is key to strikers. Blades are also multi-directional."

Fins
The fins on the boot were designed to increase ball touch while trying to swerve & move the ball where you want it. We tested it with Torres & Rooney in particular to develop this.

Strike Pods
We’ve broken the Striking pods up individually to also contour & work with your movements while you are playing. Using five pods was really about optimizing the key zone for full-instep striking. Providing more even pressure distribution as you strike the ball and also articulates and moves with your foot. My goal was to create a boot that really allows you to hit the ball how you want to!

Teamwork
"We work collectively as a team to pull in all angles of building great product. We have a large team that works on all aspects of the boot such a material, color, testing, and engineering. I help to shape & vision all of it together as a design and give the final look!"

Working with Athletes
"My biggest influence for this T90 boot was really around player feedback that really helped me shape the direction. We'll spend a lot of time sharing ideas, prototypes, parts and pieces of new materials. This really allows us to get a response from them and helps us shape the designs.

"Our focus on T90 around is definitely focus on Striking Accuracy whether you are trying to swerve the ball or trying to ping it into the back of the net. By working closely with our Product Testing team and the Nike Sports Research Lab team I’ve been able to focus the striking zones in the proper areas on the boots. We’ve applied appropriate materials that work your foot and adapt to your dynamic movements."
