Britain’s Paula Radcliffe (MBE) is no ordinary runner. Instead of sprinting to the finish line, she puts so much distance between herself and the nearest competitor that no amount of sprinting could falter her lead. That is the kind of athlete she is - extraordinary.

The current marathon world record holder and the only woman to have taken Gold twice at the SPAR European Cross Country Championships, Paula is one of the greatest long distance runners ever. Known for her perseverance and formidable training regime, Paula has her roots firmly planted in cross country and in her favourite shoes – the Nike Free Run+.

1. How does the Nike Free Run+ compare to your regular training shoe(s)?
They’re more flexi so my foot gets to behave in its natural movement. I use them in runs that strengthen my foot muscle and also for core exercises. I use it for walking exercises too to make sure my intrinsic feet muscles stay strong and help me get the best from my running. You can definitely say that the Nike Free is an integral part of my strengthening program. My feet recovers very quickly in them even after long workouts and runs.

Simply because they’re a shoe that pretty much suits everyone. It really makes running more fun which makes you wanna keep going.

5. What is your favorite feature of the shoe? Why?
The breathability and the fact that they feel so much more responsive so allow you to react and adapt to the ground faster and better. The shoe is great.
