Running appeals to variety of personalities. The loner can find solitude in a run. The audiophile can listen to new music while they get a great workout. The explorer can learn about a new city in a unique way on a run. But if you do most of your running alone, let me suggest that you go out of your way to find a friend and share a run with them. It's a great way to catch up with someone you've not spoken with in a while. I love being able to share a run a friend that I've not seen in months. The run has a natural way adding energy and enthusiasm to the conversation and I'm always so thankful following the run that I was able to run with that person. While I love my solo, contemplative runs, a run shared with a friend is a special thing and always worth the effort to coordinate schedules. So if you're normally plugged to your music on your solo runs, consider taking the time to find a friend to share a run with. My guess is you'll enjoy it immensely.
