A Good Day for Nike Running

June 08, 2010

At last Friday's Diamond League Bislett Games in Oslo, Kenenisa's younger brother Tariku Bekele emerged all smiles, finishing second with a 5K time of 12:53.97. Bernard Lagat was right behind him, taking third place and shaving two seconds off the 5K American record with a time of 12:54.12. Fellow American Chris Solinsky, the only non-African runner on the field, finished sixth with a personal record of 12:56.66, the third-fastest time ever by an American.

They are running 50 consecutive 100m dashes at 15.48 sec. each. Looks like the 5k is now a sprinting event.
