Equalon-lovers know that this Bowerman Series shoe offers nearly everything under the sun for those who need more support, but still desire a cushy ride. For the fourth version of the shoe, we looked to make it sleeker and more supportive, among other things.

The result? The latest iteration of the shoe—the Equalon+4—provides even more features to make every run that much better.

Both the men’s and women’s shoe include these unique details:

-The most advanced heel strap of all Nike stability shoes, it offers support around the foot—unlike most other straps—and attaches to the laces for reduced heel motion. This dynamic design provides optimal support and a secure overall fit.

-Softer foam underfoot enhances cushioning and support while also encouraging a naturally smooth and efficient stride.

-Lighter upper design helps reduce the overall weight of the shoe without sacrificing the top-notch stability and cushioning.

-Plush sockliner includes a soft, comfort top layer along with a more dense underlayer for added support.

The women’s shoe features two unique gender-specific details:

-Meticulously designed to accommodate the mechanics and build of the women’s body.

-Includes stretchy panels to adjust to the naturally wider nature of women’s feet.
