The Great Eight Shoes in the Bowerman Series

June 03, 2009

Bill Bowerman once said, “God determines how fast you’re going to run; I can help only with the mechanics.” To honor those words and the man who delivered that statement, Nike created the Bowerman Series, a line of shoes comprised of eight distinct models spanning four different running shoe categories—stability, cushioning, motion control and lightweight. Which specific shoes are part of the Bowerman Series? Keep reading.

Bill Bowerman understood that all runners are different. They come in all shapes and sizes and have different running styles and abilities. And most importantly, he realized that men and women need different shoes. A sneaker that works well for a male runner may not necessarily be the best shoe for a female. The Bowerman series makes sure that both men and women runners have the best possible running shoes.

STABILITY SHOES

Most runners fall into two categories: those who need stability shoes to help with pronation and those who do not. Of these two categories, the Bowerman Series features two shoes in the stability group—the Zoom Equalon+ and the Zoom Structure Triax+. The Equalon is considered the “king” of all stability shoes giving runners the ultimate stability and protection they need.

Just as popular, the Structure Triax stability shoe provides runners with the protection and support they need without skimping on the cushioning.

CUSHIONING SHOES

For those who don’t need a stability shoe, the cushioning category of running shoes provide them with ample cushioning to keep their feet feeling comfy throughout their entire run.

The motion control category in the Bowerman Series offers a shoe for people who tend to be heavier footed and often overpronate in their strides. The Zoom Nucleus MC+ provides runners with the support, stability and cushioning they need to give their feet the comfort they deserve.

LIGHTWEIGHT SHOES
