What do these Nike Elites have in common?
They all train Nike Frees and yes, some (err, Nick Symmonds) are even willing to strip down to their bare buns to express their belief in the barefoot-like experience of the Free 3.0, 5.0 and Everyday+.
While not all of our athletes felt like baring it all to show their Free love, some passed along a few words of Free fan-dom.
Dathan Ritzenhein, 2008 Games qualifier in the marathon, said, “I look for an advantage everywhere I can. By using Nike FREE for drills and every day use I know my feet will be stronger, allowing me to reach my peak potential.”
2004 Games qualifier Alan Culpepper echoes Dathan’s sentiments, “I first started using the Nike Free 5.0 back in 2004. I was suffering from Plantar Fasciitis and needed a shoe that would not only help strengthen my foot but also provide a nice arch support. The Free was perfect and I ended up using it as my house shoe. I would wear it anywhere from 4-8 hours a day and I noticed a significant change almost immediately. I continue to use the Free 5.0 daily.”
