The Day The World Ran
Singapore came out 10,000 strong to become the 2nd country behind Taiwan to celebrate the Nike+ Human Race 10K 2009.
Set amidst the Formula 1 Pit Lane alongside the iconic Singapore Flyer, the energy was at a high, with Estranged (Malaysia) providing pumped up music to open the race. Agrikulture (Indonesia), The Firefight (Singapore), Chicosci (Philippines), Thaitanium (Thailand), Taken By Cars(Philippines), and Composition_B (Singapore) kept the momentum all throughout the race.
The first runner clocked in at around 25:00, and the race closed with the last batch of runners coming in 2 hours after the flag-off. Everyone was in a festive mood, young and old alike, enjoying each other's camaraderie and to celebrate 'The Day The World Ran'.
