Meb Keflezighi is at it again. That's right, Meb's hitting the NYC starting line on 11.7.10, and he's ready to take on the 26.2 miles with stride. Last year Keflezighi clocked in for the win with a personal best of 2:09:15, and he plans to do it again this year, only faster. Meb's aspirations don't stop at the finish line; following the run, while other participants avoid stairs at all costs, Meb hopes to climb to the top of the podium for the second consecutive year.
Meb would be following in the footsteps of legendary American marathoner Alberto Salazar, who held a three-year NYC winning streak from 1980-83. Meb would be the first American marathoner to achieve back-to-back wins since Salazar, over three decades ago.
So on November 7th, as Meb cruises into Central Park for the home stretch, we hope you'll be cheering him on.
