And when he’s not tearing it up on the court, Kobe turns his attention to football. He became a fan of the sport as a child spending time in Italy, where his father played professional basketball. Now he’s taken a small slice of the beautiful game stateside for a worthy cause...

Last night Los Angeles's most famous baller tied on RED shoe laces, helping his other favourite sport, football, raise awareness and funds to fight the global AIDS pandemic through Nike Football’s Lace Up Save Lives. The shoes and laces will be auctioned off with all the proceeds benefiting RED.
