Did you ever doubt him? Ronaldinho continued his irresistible resurgence as he earned his side a draw to keep them at the top of their European group.

1-0 down, 10R blasted away any pressure as he almost burst the net with a confidently taken penalty lashed into the top corner.

The comeback rolls on.
Ignition point

Sometimes the most important goal is not the winner.

Six minutes left, 3-1 behind. All heads down. Except one. Scholes rose high to nod in the cross, instill belief in his team and ignite the comeback.

Minutes later, they were level and through to the knockout stages of Europe’s premier club competition.
Young gun proves deadly

When you’re young, you think you can take on the world – sometimes you’re right.

With his team 2-0 down to Juventus, Marek Hamsik decided enough was enough.

On 58 minutes, he slotted in at the far post to ignite the comeback. But that was just the beginning.

Less than 10 minutes to go, 2-2. Marek ran onto a perfectly cushioned ball and lashed a shot into the top corner for all three points.

Just wait until he’s unleashed in South Africa next year.
Cesc stands in the centre circle. His first North London derby as captain. His team 1-0 up. Time to kill the game.

The match re-starts. Cesc bursts out of the traps. Steals the ball, dances past one player, two, three. Then, with the goal at his mercy, calmly strokes the ball home.
Super Mario smashes it

Sometimes you witness the precise moment a promising talent moves up several gears into the major league.

For the man they call Super Mario, it happened in just 48 minutes. Last night, Balotelli scored two, created one and won the penalty for another. He even had to be dragged away from taking the spot kick by the regular penalty taker. Balotelli is not lacking confidence.

Watch the video to see how Balotelli hones his touch and dribbling.

Will his skills and growing confidence be enough to book him a ticket to South Africa?
On Sunday the Juventus danger man proved deadly, scoring the match winner in a decisive victory over Sienna, keeping Juve hot on the heels of Serie A leaders Inter.
Can you stand it?

Pressure. It changes everything.

On Sunday, Fernando was only 80% fit, burdened with expectation and desperate to end a four-game losing streak for his club.

But when your back’s against the wall, there’s only one way to go.

El Niño burst into the box, shrugged off his man and fired into the roof of the net.

Pressure – tastes good.
As the Rossoneri went toe-to-toe with their old rivals in Spain last night, the red-hot Brazilian scored twice. A tap-in to take the lead. And a searing volley two minutes from time to seal the historic win.

Just 20 years old. And getting better every day.
At the weekend, Ronaldinho scored one and set up Pato for a second to send his side to victory, from 1-0 down.

It also marked the first time 10R has found the net in back-to-back games for his new club.

Maybe now, the former World Player of the Year is coming back to his best.

Just in time to face the current World Player of the Year in his new home of Madrid.

Who will come out on top?

Inter Milan have rocked the league with their rousing 5-0 win at the weekend.

Balotelli broke from midfield to score the second and give Inter breathing space.

Then on the stroke of half time, Stankovic broke hearts with an earth-shattering finish from the halfway line.

Finally Maicon pounced on the loose ball to fire home the fifth.

Don’t stand in their way.
Cesc Fabregas: Total Control

At the heart of the game stands the playmaker. The one whose first touch is already the start of the second. Who creates space out of chaos. Who sees runs no-one else sees or imagines. The one to whom precision is the norm and the spectacular expected. The one the other players look back to when their shot hits the net.

Watch Cesc take total control.
Expect surprises

One side invented Total Football. The other invented Aussie Rules Football. One's consistently labelled as under-achievers. One's billed as a surprise package.

Can Australia take the next step and cause some damage in South Africa? Will Holland finally fulfill their potential?

It was goalless when the teams met in a friendly. But maybe they're saving their big guns for the big stage.
Win by nature

You qualified for South Africa, you could argue the job’s done. Sit back, take it easy, wait for the real test.

But Israel Castro and Gerardo Torrado know the value of burning victory into their game.

So even when there was nothing at stake, when it didn’t matter, they still went out and played to win.

Because come 2010, it’ll be second nature.

Sometimes, the smallest touch makes the difference. Mesut Özil’s killer pass. Klose’s measured run. Clinical finishing at its finest.

That’s 48 international goals for Klose, his first in the new CTR360 and Germany’s ticket to South Africa booked.
