The Most Wanted 22 continue their journey.

After a training session under the watchful eye of Sir Alex, the Manchester United manager lectures the players on the belief, hard work and dedication required to make it at the very highest level. And after impressing Sir Alex in training, four of the squad are then chosen to show off their skills on the pitch at Old Trafford in front of 75,000 supporters.

Most Wanted is a nationwide search for the next generation of football talent led by Sir Alex Ferguson, Nike and the Premier League. The first part of Sir Alex's Most Wanted can be watched here.

Watch the first part of Sir Alex's Most Wanted - the search for the next generation of football talent in the UK and Ireland.

After eight gruelling nationwide trials the final squad of 22 - the Most Wanted - has been assembled. The players are put through their paces by Peter Reid and Ian Rush, before heading off to the Manchester United training ground to perform under the gaze of Sir Alex.

The 22 players that earned the right to call themselves Most Wanted got a money-can’t-buy training experience with Sir Alex Ferguson himself.

But more than that, they got a potent shot of football’s most valuable yet elusive quality – confidence. For a group of players battering away at the doors of professional football, it was something special to hear the most successful club manager in the history of English football say “it’s never too late”.

It’s crunch time for Most Wanted hopefuls Scott Gillman and Azeem Anwar.

From day one, we’ve seen Scott working on his game and checking out the competition in preparation for his London trial.

On the other side of town, Azeem has had to balance his training regime with a university course, to make sure his shooting impresses when Most Wanted comes calling.

Now, like Azeem says – it’s time to deliver.

With nearly 200 players at the second London trial, it’s going to take something special for Scott and Azeem to shine. And with both players selected in the same group, they’ll need a ruthless competitive streak to progress into Sir Alex’s final 22.

With the rain tumbling out of the sky on a grey afternoon in the capital, which of these two will let it dampen their chances?

After weeks of preparation, the big day finally arrived for Most Wanted hopeful Nia as the Manchester trials rolled into town.

With 150 other lads and six demanding drills between him and a place in Sir Alex’s elite 22, the pressure was well and truly on.

As the sun beat down and the competition got tougher than ever, it all came down to the final endurance test – did Nia have what it took to play through the pain and secure his place in the Most Wanted final?

Most Wanted London 2 highlights

It’s the first and last rule of Most Wanted: reputations don’t mean a thing – it’s all about what you produce on the day.

And with Most Wanted returning to the capital for the final day of trials, places in Sir Alex’s elite 22 were getting ever harder to grab.

Someone who knows better than most how to produce on the big occasion, Teddy Sheringham dropped by to see the quality on display, and give tips to the contenders on how to perform under pressure.

Step forward Sam Mason-Smith and Marcus Rose – two young stars who refused to wilt when the heat was on. Stay tuned for the next instalment of Most Wanted, as Sam and Marcus join the other 20 players who’ve proven themselves worthy of a place at Sir Alex Ferguson’s training camp.

Sunday 27 July was the day Most Wanted came home. Following Sir Alex’s clarion call to arms, the Manchester trial was always going to be a bit special. And it didn’t disappoint.

A searing-hot day brought things to the boil nicely as hundreds of hopefuls packed out Manchester Academy in the busiest trial so far. All the players gave everything they had desperate to play their way into Sir Alex’s final team.

At the end of a fierce day’s competition, Cayne Hanley and Paul Pearson had grabbed their spots in the elite Most Wanted training camp. Who’s next?

Most Wanted Liverpool highlights

It was hot. It was heaving. It was one of the heartlands of UK football. When Most Wanted came to Liverpool, over 130 talented and hungry young players turned out to win a coveted spot in the elite 22.

Despite the soaring temperatures, the morning’s hotly contested drills showed the Most Wanted coaches that this was going to be one of the hardest trials to judge.

As the top 25 fought their way through the afternoon’s matchplay sessions, two stars emerged. Congratulations to Jonathon Pringle and Ross Farran who won their place in the final 22 along with some serious accolades from all around.

The Newcastle Most Wanted trial brought out the cream of the North East’s young talent to put their skills to the test and seize their chance for glory.

Newcastle United’s James Milner and Steven Taylor were on hand to watch the action at close quarters – and they were treated to some high quality competition.

At the end of a gruelling hard-fought day, Nick Scott and Daniel Hindmarsh made it through to the final 22 with Sir Alex. Congratulations to them.

The skill level was through the roof at the Glasgow trial, with all players aware that spaces in the final team were going fast as Most Wanted entered the last couple of weeks.

Scott Tulley and Jonathon Tiffany seized their chance and stormed into Sir Alex’s team. Good work.
