Nike Academy - Out to Impress

Under the eagle eye of a host of Premier League and Football League scouts and coaches, Academy players, Sam Lechmere and Ryan James put in performances to get themselves noticed.

With Ryan looking cool and composed at the heart of the defence and Sam also getting his name on the score-sheet, the scouts liked what they saw.

The duo’s dedication and determination was rewarded with trial offers from eight professional clubs, and with the Academy’s next milestone coming up in May, their team mates will hope to follow their success.

16 players will head to Old Trafford with the opportunity to play in front of watching scouts.
