Lifting the greatest prize in club football means that in Pep Guardiola’s first season as manager, Barcelona have become the first Spanish team ever to win the treble of the league title, the Copa del Rey and now Europe’s biggest prize.

Barcelona were never just 11 on the pitch. Instead, Europe’s finest came together on the night that mattered most.
