For 125 years parts of London, England, and the world have cheered for Arsenal. Marking that anniversary, the new home shirt for 2011-12 takes the most technologically advanced jersey in the world, and fills it with the historic style of one of the world's great clubs.

A new bespoke crest heat pressed to the shirt's heart that combines details from the first club crest and the current version in a bold white print that carries the anniversary dates of 1886 and 2011 and the word "FORWARD," a tribute to the club’s first motto. Arsenal's Latin motto - "Victoria Concordia Crescit," (‘Victory Through Harmony’) - rests inside the shirt behind the crest.

The Past present and future all find a place in this technologically advanced anniversary kit. Inspired by shirts from the 1970’s and boasting a clean, refined look, the block red body balances between white sleeves with the red speed stripe details. Like the style of the team wearing them, the new kit is simple and sharp, personifying football style both on the pitch and in the supporters stands. A club that refuses to take a backwards step, the classic red and white should never be underestimated. Forever forward.

Written off twice already this season, Arsenal are showing the fortitude and resolve it takes to win the title.

Cesc Fabregas' wonderfully worked one-two put them 1-0 up before Theo Walcott's darting run and composed finish, and Andrei Arshavin's near-post piledriver capped a dominant performance for the Gunners.

Two points separate first from third at the top of the Premier League. Arsenal are more than just contenders.

In a match marred by bad blood and passion, Arsenal needed to show resolve.

A horrific injury threatened to distract the focus on the pitch but as the match reached its conclusion, Nicklas Bendtner earned Arsenal a late lifeline.

A 90th minute penalty always carries pressure but when it's a potential match winner, with emotions running high, it needs mental strength to take responsibility.

And for the second week running, Cesc Fabregas stepped up to lead by example, scoring from the spot; for his injured teammate; for the win.

Guided by Arsene Wenger’s devotion to playing the beautiful game, the new generation vindicated their manager’s unwavering football philosophy by stepping up when it mattered.

Carlos Vela has shown flashes of the creative genius under Eduardo’s tutelage, Jack Wilshere’s eased into his attacking pre-season form, and Alex Song’s emergence as a midfield enforcer has been instrumental in the club’s renewed assault on the Premiership.

Unbeaten in their last five games, boasting four convincing wins from four in the Premiership, and fighting on three fronts for silverware, Arsenal’s youngsters had to come of age quickly. They have.
