The Collection: The Six MVP Edition

It’s official! LeBron James is this year's MVP. And though the announcement doesn’t come as a surprise to any basketball fan, Nike is celebrating with the release The Six MVP special edition shoe.

As the MVP chant still echoes in arenas during Lakers games, LeBron fans everywhere have been preparing their voices all season for a new rallying cry.

Soon you'll be able to show your love for the newly crowned Most Valuable Player by rocking The Six Witness MVP special edition. The shoe features a rugged all white textured leather upper to reflect LeBron’s gritty power game. The triple-stitched lateral stability rand and swoosh come in a polished black look, while the collar, forefoot and heel straps get the Witness treatment in bold black letters.

To add a touch of royal class, The Witness MVP edition showcases the white lion head logo on the breathable mesh tongue and is accented with gold around the midsole, with flecks in the outsole, The Six logo on the tongue and an MVP tag by the ankle.

The Witness MVP shoe will be available soon at Nikestore.com and House of Hoops locations.

The Collection: The Six East & West

No matter what part of the country you live in you gotta respect LeBron James. At age 24 he has become a global force in basketball. Born and raised in Akron, he’s elevated his game to take him from small town Ohio to the top of the pros. As he crisscrosses the country, creating more highlights, winning more games and getting closer to that championship ring, the fans in every state keep wanting more.

To show his love for the basketball lovers coast-to-coast, LeBron is dropping two very special editions of The Six: one for the East and one for the West. Both will be available starting February 20th at Nikestore.com.

In a crisp white, the West shoe is accented with a vibrant red on the breathable tongue, swoosh and outsole. And for the young warrior, the camo-style graphic in grey on the midsole, collar and tongue keeps him ready for battle.

And to bring it back home, the East shoe goes black and features a nubuck forefoot strap for style and maximum lockdown. To make it pop, royal blue accents the swoosh, tongue, collar, and outsole. And to keep it street, the midsole is tagged with the words that inspire LeBron’s game.

The Collection: All-star 09

Last weekend, the greatest stars in the game of basketball converged in Phoenix, AZ to put on the biggest show of the year. Amar'e Stoudemire played host as LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce and a host of other all-stars converged over three days to dunk, shoot, pass and prove why they are the best in the world. With so much action on the court it was easy to miss some of the hottest sneakers of the season.

Kobe just keeps coming out on top. With the West’s victory, he went home with the trophy and All-star MVP honors. To help keep him light on his feet for the fast paced game he wore his latest, candy painted in the West’s best shade of red. It features a contrasting white toe box, midsole, laces and swoosh and the infamous number 24 on the heel so his opponents knew who just passed them by.

The Six
LeBron’s latest signature sneaker got the All-star makeover in Eastern conference blue, featuring a navy ballistic nylon upper, a gradient blue forefoot strap, a light blue accent on the swoosh and three different shades of thread on the triple-stitched midsole.

The Huarache 09
For the winners of Sunday’s main event, the classic Huarache got a new paint job, in Western red. Flaming at the toe, it fades back into a deep crimson at the heel. And to prove the West side is the best side, the ankle is emblazoned with a bold WEST graphic.

The Huarache 09 also got an East side update for the big weekend. The light blue toe cap adds just the right amount of flair before it fades back into the navy heel cup. And in case you didn’t know which side it was on, EAST is emblazoned in light blue at the ankle.

The Family: Versus Christmas Edition

If everything you wished for isn’t under the tree for you on Christmas morning, don’t fret. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Paul Pierce and Caron Butler have got you covered on Christmas night. With the Lakers and Celtics squaring off in a rematch of last year’s finals, followed by the magic men of Washington paying a visit to LJ and crew in Cleveland, the night of the 25th is shaping up to be the ultimate holiday two-for-one special.

First up, a bi-coastal clash no amount of sugar cookies could sweeten up. Kobe and company are out to prove the basketball balance of power still resides on the west coast, while Pierce and his partners seek to re-affirm their league dominance and try to break their franchise record 18 game win streak. Tensions should run high on both sides of the ball, as both squads will be looking to light up the scoreboard no matter how Scrooge-worthy the defense gets.

Next up is a showdown that pits the boys from our nation’s capital against the best in the Midwest. Should be a festive night at the Q as LeBron and friends try to cast a spell of their own on the Wizards. Ranked #2 in the East, the Cavs are fighting to topple Washington and anyone else in the way of the NBA championship trophy. That includes #1 ranked Boston. But LeBron and company have to get through Caron Butler's non-stop offensive.

And as if these match-ups weren’t enough to get hoop-loving hearts pounding, Kobe will be unveiling his Zoom Kobe IV iD Christmas Edition while LeBron will debut The Six Chalk Edition for the holiday. How does the song go – it’s the most wonderful time of the year? In this case, wonderful is an understatement.
