The Collection: Rashard Lewis Away Player Edition Hyperdunk 2010

Rhythm. Basketball players find it in many different ways.

They flow within the details of meticulous offensive sets that end in uncontested threes from the wing. And alternate further between strong drives to the rim and finesse, baseline turnaround jumpers.

The Orlando Magic have become Eastern Conference contenders on the strength of a collection of players who set the winning tempo through a collective rhythm that always keeps opposing defenses on their toes.

Dunks. Twine-tingling threes. A barrage of midrange game in between.

Rashard Lewis knows: his established method of movement is enhanced by the lightweight performance of this Away Player Edition Hyperdunk 2010.

Nike Zoom cushioning supports every launch and landing - no matter what sets the opposing defense throws.

The Collection: Rashard Lewis Player Edition Hyperdunk 2010

Fearsome. Furious. Blistering.

That’s what most power forwards are.

But normally, they’re only able to achieve those attributes through brute force - banging and battling down low.

Rashard Lewis breaks the mold.

He’s back-breaking. Heavy-duty. Explosive. By being acute from deep.

The Hyperdunk 2010 injects next-generation Flywire technology to achieve the ultimate in speed - without sacrificing support.

So in the Rashard Lewis Player Edition Hyperdunk 2010, he’s free to focus on scoring in bunches.

The Collection 3.0: Huarache 2010 Rashard Lewis

Last season, Rashard Lewis was first in the NBA with 220 3-point field goals made. Although he only ranks fifth this year, the Orlando Magic are once again primed and ready for another deep playoff run. If the season ended today, the Magic would be the 2-seed in the Eastern Conference, taking on the 7-seed Charlotte Bobcats.

Take a look at the Huarache 2010 that Rashard has been wearing in 2010.
1-on-1: Thaddeus Young vs. Danny Granger vs. Rashard Lewis: Best Player born in Louisiana

Thaddeus Young.

Born: June 21, 1988 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Moved to Memphis as a kid - and turned in a Mitchell High School career on par with the area's legendary BBQ. Three times All-State and twice an All-American. Mr. Basketball in Tennessee and the Gatorade Player of the Year.

Spent a year putting his all-around skills on blast at Georgia Tech, blistering the ACC at a 42% clip from three. Averaged 14.4 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game on his way to becoming the 12th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.

Shot 54% from the field as the second-youngest player in the league on his way to being named All-Rookie 2nd Team. Prospered further last year: 15.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.33 steals per game. Two pro seasons, two Philadelphia 76ers playoff appearances.

Danny Granger.

Born: April 20, 1983 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

McDonald's All-America prep resume at Metairie, Louisiana's Grace King High School.

Balled out at two Division 1 schools: Bradley, then New Mexico. Left his name in the record books with monstrous blocked shot numbers at both stops. Scored a bunch, too, on his way to First Team All-Mountain West honors as a junior and senior. MWC Tourney MVP.

The 17th overall selection by the Indiana Pacers in the 2005 NBA Draft earned 2nd Team All-Rookie honors before becoming the first player in NBA history to improve his scoring average by 5+ points three years running. Selected to his first NBA All-Star game last year while making room for the Most Improved Player trophy on his mantle.

Rashard Lewis.

Born: August 8, 1979 in Pineville, Louisiana.

All-USA First Team by USA Today and National Player of the Year by Parade magazine following a monster senior season at Houston, Texas' Alief Elsik High School. MVP of the 1998 Magic Johnson Roundball Classic.

Went prep-to-pro, by way of Seattle, with the 32nd pick of the 1998 NBA Draft.

Emerged as a 6'10" terror on the wing over his decade-plus in the league, making All-Star teams in 2005 and 2009. Seattle's all-time record holder: three point field goals made. Attempted - and made - the most three pointers in the league last year while helping drive Orlando to the NBA Finals. Hit the game-winner in Game 1 of last year's Eastern Conference Finals.

Thaddeus was so good in high school, the Memphis Grizzlies would come to watch him play. Danny's already assaulting the Pacers' all-time record books. And Rashard has cemented himself among the league's shot-making elite.

Maybe you're a fan of Thad's seemingly unlimited potential. Perhaps you give extra credit to Danny for improving so steadily year over year. Or you know in the front of your mind that Rashard's as deadly as the come from deep come closing time.

But bottom line: who's the best player born in Louisiana?

A near triple-double and a rookie stepping up highlight Wednesday night's Play With Heart Moments.

Rashard Lewis made his on-court season debut for the Orlando Magic, and was one assist away from his first triple-double in the NBA. The Magic beat the Thunder 108-94, as Lewis rang up 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists - without playing the fourth quarter.

Eric Maynor chipped in 11 fourth-quarter points in a 104-91 Utah Jazz victory over the Toronto Raptors. With Ronnie Price inactive due to injury, Maynor logged 23 minutes, often as part of a backcourt with Deron Williams, with Maynor running the point, and Williams sliding to shooting guard. Maynor finished wih 15 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists. Stepping up when your team needs you? That's Playing With Heart.
The Hyperizers - A Closer Look

•	Andre Iguodala as CHIEF BLOCKA
•	Mo Williams as FOG RAW
•	Kevin Durant as VELVET HOOP
•	Rashard Lewis as ICE-O

Yeah, these high-flying vocalists demanded the mic. But they also:

•	Got their sweat on poolside
•	Bombed the diving board to cool down
•	Pushed the producers buttons, sometimes singing instead of rapping
•	Literally pushed the buttons, running point on the mixing boards
•	Showed up as themselves and ran fools ragged on the court
•	Transformed into their alter egos after some Hollywood styling

And much, much more.
The Hyperizers - "Don't Criticize (Hyperize)"

•	Andre Iguodala as CHIEF BLOCKA
•	Mo Williams as FOG RAW
•	Kevin Durant as VELVET HOOP
•	Rashard Lewis as ICE-O

This collection of NBA All-Stars demanded the mic. The result? Crossover artists who bring the same flow poolside from the BBQ pit or high above the blacktop rims.

CHIEF BLOCKA encourages ya’ll to g’head and criticize. Scoring machines feed off the hate every time they play.

FOG RAW becomes the mayor of the lane with a six-fingered salute to assaulting the rim. This player hater always sees the girls a little later.

As the youngest in charge, VELVET HOOP makes every opposing defense stand still. Thermometer reads 80 degrees - but fools just freeze.

And ICE-O has hella fun on every run. His lyrics - like his sweet jumper - are always improvised. Often imitated. Never duplicated.

For those who criticize the unstoppable game? The answer: Hyperize.

Because this much style just can’t be controlled.
The Finals: Game 3 Recap

The Orlando Magic officially arrived at the NBA Finals Tuesday night. In fact, you might even say they blew the doors open.

With 75% shooting from the floor in the first half and 62.5% in the game overall, the Magic set not one, but two field goal percentage records last night to make their mark on NBA Finals history.

Leading the scoring charge for Orlando was Rashard Lewis with 21 points and great team defense helped the Magic keep LA at bay.

But it wasn't easy as the Lakers didn't go down without a fight.
Pau Gasol’s 23 points from 9 of 11 shots and Kobe's game high 31 points and 8 assists, helped keep LA on pace with the lights out shooting of the Magic making the game close to the very end.

Going into Game 4, look for the Lakers to try to set the table for a championship win in LA with a game 4 win. Meanwhile the Magic, will definitely aim to replicate the shooting history they made last night to even up the series.

The Finals: Games 1 & 2 Recap

Want to make a statement in the first game of the NBA Finals? Try dropping 40 pts, 8 ast and 8 reb. That’s exactly how Kobe led the Lakers to a game 1 victory against Orlando last week. That triple double flirtation complimented by strong play from Pau Gasol and great numbers off the bench from Lamar Odom, set the tone for the 100-75 victory.

Determined to head back to Orlando with the series tied up, the Magic returned to the Staples Center for Game 2 looking for revenge.

Unfortunately for them, LA brought their own brand of ferocity back to the court that night.

Energized by the clutch late-game shots of Pau, the Lakers were able to take control of the court in OT and survive a resurgent Magic squad that could've won in regulation but for a alley-oop lay-up that missed by inches. As overtime wore on, even the heroics of Rashard Lewis wasn’t enough to combat the team play of the purple and gold.

Tonight the party moves to Orlando, as the Magic try get their first Finals victory in franchise history. At the same time look for Kobe and company to try and draw one game closer to the title.

The Family: Versus

The action in the East is heating up as three teams battle for that top spot. Cleveland sits in the hot seat but the #2 Boston Celtics and the #3 Orlando Magic meet this Thursday to overthrow The King.

The West has long been known as the far tougher conference, but recently major trades, blossoming young stars and great coaching has turned the tide in the East, bubbling up teams that are real contenders for the crown. While LeBron James has long kept Cleveland in a threatening position, Boston and Orlando are just a few games away from the Eastern crown.

After one of the most dynamic trades in recent NBA history, Boston created an entirely new program and proved that they are world class. And while their big man is their emotional center, Paul Pierce remains the go-to guy to clench victories. The ultimate role player, he understands when his team needs him to put up 30+ points in a night or when they need him to hit the boards or find opportunities for his teammates. This season he continues to prove that he will do whatever it takes to defend the crown.

Orlando has long been a mainstay in the East but has struggled in recent years to become conference champions. Their most well known weapon is their young superhero center phenom who, averaging 20.9 points and 13.9 rebounds, controls the paint on defense and offense. But as the young team continues to grow, their veteran forward Rashard Lewis is leading them to the Promised Land. After coming to the Magic in the 07-08 season, he’s averaged a strong 18 points and nearly 5.8 rebounds a game, leading the squad to what could be his second straight playoff run.

These two Eastern powerhouses clash Wednesday night at 8:00pm ET.
