When the stars aligned in Storrs, Connecticut, the Huskies became the mecca of college hoops at the dawn of the 21st century.

Ben Gordon finished his University of Connecticut career as the school's sixth leading scorer (1,795 points).

As a freshman, Ben was a spark off the bench and showed the first signs of his game-changing ability by nailing a game-winning three in the Big East Tourney. His productivity increased during each of the next two seasons, culminating in a junior campaign for the ages. Conference Tournament and NCAA Regional MVPs bookended his First Team All-Conference award. The Huskies won the 2004 title and Ben left Connecticut with the most threes made (242) and the second-highest three-point percentage (.423). Plus, he never missed a game.

While Ben was bombing away from deep, Emeka Okafor patrolled the low post.

He led the nation in blocked shots as a freshman (4.1 per game). He was was named National Defensive Player of the Year twice (2003, 2004) and finished with the seventh-most blocks in NCAA history (441). The fourth Connecticut player to achieve 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds, Emeka was also named Big East Player and Big East Defensive Player of the Year as a junior. After expanding his offensive repertoire, he averaged 17.6 points per game and was named the 2004 Co-National Player of the Year - one of only two unanimous First Team All-American selections. Emeka was also recognized as the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA Tournament on that 2004 championship team.

The only place Emeka could've been more dominant? The classroom. He graduated in three years and made Academic All-America, too.

Diana Taurasi led the University of Connecticut women's team to three consecutive NCAA championships.

In 2003 and 2004 she was selected as the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament. In doing so, she also became just the fourth women's player to be named back-to-back Player of the Year for the entire season. Diana earned First Team All-Conference three times and became the first freshman to ever win Big East Championship Most Outstanding Player honors. She also became the first Husky woman to post career totals of 2,000 points, 600 assists and 600 rebounds.

That's the short list of stats, titles and record books positions for three of Connecticut's all-time finest.

The question:

Among Ben Gordon, Emeka Okafor and Diana Taurasi, who had the best Connecticut career?
