What changes when you become captain? The way you play? The way you relate to the coach? The way you relate to the fans?
The answer: none of the above.
The only thing that changes is your responsibility to help every member of the team play better. My role as a captain is to drive, influence, my teammates sometimes on court sometimes from the bench, during a game, by giving directions and encourage them to perform better for the game.
