The first of many LIVESTRONG “Chalking” events happened this past Saturday, July 4th on the streets of Chicago, coinciding with Lance Armstrong’s return to cycling. The “Open Roads” event took place by Grant Park, where Michigan Ave meets Columbus, and encouraged participants to join Lance and his “Hope Rides Again” message. The corridor to the park doubled as the main entrance to the infamous Taste of Chicago. “Open Roads” began with the Taste of Chicago at 11am and lasted until the crowd and the chalk supply were officially gone by 4pm. ...
