Train with RUN NYC!

One of the biggest misconceptions about New York City is that "there's no place to run." That couldn't be further from the truth. There's the famously runner-friendly bridle and reservoir paths in Central Park, a favorite destination for any runner. If flatter and faster terrain is your preference, head west toward the Hudson until you reach Hudson River Park, a 6-mile stretch of Riverside with wide running lanes. As you head south, you'll pass massive cruise ships docked on a layover, Chelsea Piers, Battery Park, and, of course, the most runner-friendly destination of all: the Nike Runners' Station at 16th Street. Stop in to trial Nike+ shoes and Sport Kits, chat up the friendly staff and refuel on energy drinks, gels and bars.

Across the island is East River Park, another scenic running route. The highlights of this path include South Street Seaport, the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges and the East River Park playing fields - which includes a 400-meter running track on 6th Street.

The truth is, running is everywhere if you know where to look. Fortunately for those training for the Nike+ Human Race, RUN NYC is everywhere too helping to motivate and inspire all participants. Join us 6 days a week for 7 different runs all over NYC: Central Park, Hudson River Park, East River Park, and Prospect Park. The complete RUN NYC training schedule is below:
