With over 13 thousand eager and exhausted runners waiting, the lights exploded as Kanye took to the stage in true superstar fashion delivering not only an amazing live set but also a rare opportunity to see him perform with fellow Grammy Award winner and Chicago native Common.

The windy city superstars played off of each other while an electric light show filled the LA Coliseum with the glow of a yet another historic moment for this famed landmark.

The concert was only open to those who registered to run the race as there were no spectator tickets being sold. Many runners and non-runners alike ran simply to get to the finale in order to see Kanye perform. Jostling for position on the vast lawn of Christmas Tree Lane with the Olympic Flame and iconic rings behind the main stage, I overheard a runner say to his friend..
