WHAT IS THE COST TO PARTICIPATE?
The registration fee is $35. All race entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. We are unable to transfer entry fees to other Nike races. Also, your registration, racing number and timing chip are non-transferable.
IS MY REGISTRATION, BIB NUMBER AND TIMING CHIP TRANSFERABLE?
We are unable to transfer registration, racing number and timing chip are non-transferable.
WILL I RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION OF MY REGISTRATION?
Yes. A confirmation email will be sent from SignMeUp.com once your registration is confirmed. A separate email from Nike, with participant information and packet pickup details, will be sent to all participants in August. You should print your Nike email and bring it with you to packet pickup.
IS ONLINE REGISTRATION SECURE?
Yes. The process uses a security technology called Secure Socket Layers, or SSL, which encrypts your personal and credit card information.Your information is secure when the web site address on the top of your screen starts with --/-- instead of --/--
WHAT IS YOUR PRIVACY POLICY REGARDING THE INFORMATION SUPPLIED ON THE REGISTRATION FORM?
Nike does not share your information with any other parties without your consent. Nike will not share any information unless you have indicated on your registration form that you would like to receive information.
WILL THERE BE REGISTRATION ON EVENT DAY?
No. There will be no event day registration. You must register in advance.
CAN I REGISTER FOR A FRIEND?
No. Each participating individual must personally agree to the waiver included in the registration process.
CAN SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP MY RACE PACKET ON MY BEHALF?
Yes. All runners will receive an email confirmation from Nike approximately 2 weeks before the event. You may bring that email confirmation to pick up your friend’s race packet.

CAN I PICK UP MY PACKET ON RACE DAY?
No, you must pick up your race packet at one of the packet pickup locations above. Due to the bib assignments being printed on the shirts, we are unable to accommodate race day packet pickup.
HOW FAR IS 10K?
6.2 miles.
WHAT ARE THE COURSE RESTRICTIONS?
For the safety of all participants, skates, strollers or animals are not permitted, as per the rules and regulations established by the USA Track & Field. Due to the large number of entrants, all runners should line up at the start according to anticipated pace. All race participants must complete the course one hour and 15 minutes after the last runner crosses the Start Line. The course should be open for approximately one and a half hours.
POST RACE EVENT DETAILS?
Don’t forget your ID! All registered participants over 21 years of age will be able to purchase beer at the post race concert.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING
HOW DO I GET TO THE EVENT?
Nike encourages you to carpool and take public transportation to the event.
WHERE DO I PARK FOR THE EVENT?

HOW MANY RUNNERS DO YOU EXPECT TO PARTICIPATE THIS YEAR?
We anticipate approximately 12,500 participants.
CAN WALKERS PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT?
Yes, runners and walkers of all abilities are welcomed and encouraged to join the 2008 Nike+ Human Race in Los Angeles. Please be advised that the roads will accommodate participants up to a 12 minute pace (1 hour, 15 minutes maximum time). Walkers that are behind this pace will be asked to continue the race on the sidewalk.
WHERE DO I LEAVE MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS WHEN I RUN?
A bag check area will be available near the start line. You must wear your official Dri-FIT shirt in order to check your bag. Your belongings will be secure throughout the run. Nike, however, is not responsible for lost/stolen items, so please do not bring any valuables. Be sure to allow enough time to get to the Start Line. The bag check area will be open from 5:00pm to 10:30pm.
HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER?
We welcome your participation as a volunteer! The event will need hundreds of volunteers to staff the aid stations, work the packet pickup and offer support to the runners at the start and finish. To volunteer, please contact our volunteer coordinator at http://www.tricalifornia.com/. All volunteers will receive an official race volunteer t-shirt.

IS THE COURSE CERTIFIED BY USA TRACK AND FIELD?
Yes, the course is USAT&F certified.
DO I NEED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE BY A SPECIFIC TIME?
Yes. The course will be open for one hour and 15 minutes after the last participant crosses the Start Line. You must finish the run by approximately 10:00pm.
WHO WILL BE PERFOMING AT THE POST RACE CONCERT?
In Los Angeles, nine-time Grammy Award winning artist Kanye West will headline the run's post race concert for the grand finale of the 25-city Nike+ Human Race!

WHAT RACES HAVE THIS ORGANIZATION PRODUCED?
On Board Entertainment has produced the Nike Run Hit Remix in LA, Chicago, Portland, and Miami, as well as the Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco.
WHY IS NIKE SPONSORING THE HUMAN RACE?
Nike has joined forces globally to create the world’s largest running event, with the goal of helping humanity in the process through givebacks to global charities.
WILL THERE BE EXCLUSIVE NIKE HUMAN RACE GEAR?
Official Nike Human Race apparel and accessories will be available at various Nike retail stores throughout Los Angeles including NIKETOWN LA and several other participating retailers. Gear will also be sold online at http://www.nikestore.com/.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR THE RACE SHIRT ON EVENT DAY?
Yes. The shirt identifies you as an official Nike Human Race participant and it’s your ticket to the post event concert.
AWARDS
WHAT PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED, AND IN WHAT CATEGORIES?
Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers. All finishers will receive a specially designed Nike+ Human Race finisher’s reward.
DO ALL RACERS RECEIVE A MEDAL OR CERTIFICATE?

- The course will then proceed east on Adams Blvd. back to Figueroa St.
- The course will then go south again on Figueroa St. to Exposition Blvd.
- It will go west on Exposition Blvd to Raymond Ave. to a turn around point.
- The course will then go east of Exposition Blvd to Figueroa St.
- It will go south on Figueroa St to the finish line at 39^th^ Street and finally proceed West to the Coliseum for the finish back at Christmas Tree Lane.
