A Spectacular Day for a 10K
Chicago was treated to a beautiful and sunny day on 08.31.08. The weather was several degrees warmer than the weeks leading to the big day, but Sunday Ausgut 31 dawned clear and balmy. With runners arriving as much as 5 hours early for the race, Soldier Field and Ice Mountain kept participants hydrated at the start line, while Gatorade and water stations kept us all cool throughout the course.
Even with the heat and touch of humidity, Chicago couldn't have planned a more inspiring view, pushing runners the second half of the race all the way back to Solider Field.
