We will be offering race day solutions and Packet Pickup on Sunday from 2PM-5PM at Soldier Field outside of Gate 0 (on the south side of Soldier Field, just off of Waldron Drive). If you must pick up your packet on race day, please plan to arrive early to avoid long lines.

Registration will remain open until 10 PM August 30, 2008.
WHO WILL BE PERFORMING AT THE POST-RACE CONCERT?
Hometown favorite, Fall Out Boy, will be performing in Soldier Field for the Nike Human Race Chicago post-event concert.
WHAT IS THE COST TO PARTICIPATE?
The registration fee is $35 and includes your race tee shirt and ticket to the post-event concert. All race entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. We are unable to transfer entry fees to other Nike races. Also, your registration, racing number and timing chip are non-transferable.
IS MY REGISTRATION, BIB NUMBER AND TIMING CHIP TRANSFERABLE?
We are unable to transfer registration, racing number and timing chip are non-transferable.
WILL I RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION OF MY REGISTRATION?
Yes. A registration confirmation email will be sent from SignMeUp.com once your registration is confirmed.
IS ONLINE REGISTRATION SECURE?
Yes. The process uses a security technology called Secure Socket Layers, or SSL, which encrypts your personal and credit card information.
WHAT IS YOUR PRIVACY POLICY REGARDING THE INFORMATION SUPPLIED ON THE REGISTRATION FORM?
Nike does not share your information with any other parties without your consent. Nike will not share any information unless you have indicated on your registration form that you would like to receive information
HOW WILL I ENSURE THAT I GET THE RIGHT RACE DAY SHIRT SIZE?
The registration form will NOT ask for your race shirt size. The race shirts are printed with pre-assigned bib numbers, a random number between 1 and 1,000,000. At packet pickup you will bring your confirmation email and pick your t-shirt size at packet pickup.
CAN I REGISTER FOR A FRIEND?
No. Each participating individual must personally agree to the waiver included in the registration process.
CAN SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP MY RACE PACKET ON MY BEHALF?
Yes. All runners will receive an email confirmation of their registration from SignMeUp.com. You may forward that email confirmation to a friend who will be able to pick up your packet and race day t-shirt. Ensure that you tell your friend what size race t-shirt you would like.

Due to overwhelming demand, we have added race day solutions and Packet Pickup on Sunday from 2PM-5PM at Soldier Field outside of Gate 0 (on the south side of Soldier Field, just off of Waldron Drive). If you must pick up your packet on race day, please plan to arrive early to avoid long lines. Please print out your Registration Confirmation page and bring it with you to pick up your packet.

6.2 miles.
WHAT ARE THE COURSE RESTRICTIONS?
For the safety of all participants, skates, strollers or animals are not permitted, as per the rules and regulations established by the USA Track & Field. Due to the large number of entrants, all runners should line up at the start according to anticipated pace. All race participants must complete the course one hour and 15 minutes after the last runner crosses the Start Line. The course will be open for approximately one and a half hours.
IS THERE A WHEELCHAIR DIVISION?
If you would like to participate utilizing a wheelchair, please contact HumanRaceChicago@gmail.com. We will accomodate a special wheelchair start if desired.
POST RACE EVENT DETAILS?
Don’t forget your ID! All registered runners over 21 years of age will be able to purchase beer in Soldier Field.
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING
HOW DO I GET TO THE EVENT?
Nike and Soldier Field encourage you to take public transportation to the event. The CTA’s Red, Green, Orange and Brown lines stop at Roosevelt Road and State Street. Please visit www.transitchicago.com for more information. Simply proceed East on Roosevelt Road, under the pedestrian tunnel to Soldier Field.
WHERE CAN I LOCK UP MY BIKE?
A Bike Valet area will be available 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Valet bike parking is similar to a coat check for bicycles. Attendees are issued a claim check in exchange for their bike. Bikes are parked in a secure corral, which is staffed by the Chicagoland Bicycle Federal members (CBF). www.biketraffic.org is a non-profit bicycle advocacy organization working to improve bicycling conditions in the region.
WHERE DO I PARK FOR THE EVENT?
Parking will be available in the Soldier Field parking facility located underneath Soldier Field. Be sure to get there early, as parking will fill up quickly . Also, lots closest to Soldier Field will close at 5:30 pm, so arrive early to guarantee a spot. For more information on parking at Solider Field, please visit www.soldierfieldparking.com.

HOW MANY RUNNERS DO YOU EXPECT TO PARTICIPATE THIS YEAR?
We anticipate approximately 15,000 participants.
CAN WALKERS PARTICIPATE IN THE EVENT?
Yes, runners and walkers of all abilities are welcomed and encouraged to join the 2008 Nike+ Human Race in Chicago. Please be advised that the roads will accommodate participants up to a 12 minute pace (1 hour, 15 minutes maximum time). Walkers that are behind this pace will be asked to continue the race on the sidewalk.
WHERE DO I LEAVE MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS WHEN I RUN?
A bag check area will be available in Soldier Field. You must wear your official Dri-FIT shirt to be able to check your bag. Your belongings will be secure throughout the run. Nike, however, is not responsible for lost/stolen items, so please do not bring any valuables. Be sure to allow enough time to get to the Start Line. The bag check area will be open from 5:00pm to 10:00pm.
HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER?
We welcome your participation as a volunteer! The event will need hundreds of volunteers to staff the aid stations, work the packet pickup and offer support to the runners at the start and finish. To volunteer, please contact our volunteer coordinator at HumanRaceChicago@gmail.com . All volunteers will receive an official race volunteer t-shirt.

There will be three aid stations along the course. Porto-lets will be available at each aid station as well as at the Start and Finish Line.
IS IT A LOOP COURSE OR AN OUT AND BACK?
The course is a loop.
IS THE COURSE CERTIFIED BY USA TRACK AND FIELD?
Yes, the course is USAT&F certified.
DO I NEED TO COMPLETE THE COURSE BY A SPECIFIC TIME?
Yes. The course will be open for one hour and 15 minutes after the last participant crosses the Start Line. You must finish the run by approximately 7:45PM.

WHO IS PRODUCING THE EVENT?
Nike has hired On Board Entertainment and OnCourse Productions to produce this event.
WHAT RACES HAVE THIS ORGANIZATION PRODUCED?
On Board Entertainment has produced the Nike Run Hit Remix in Chicago, LA, Portland, and Miami, as well as the Nike Women’s Marathon in San Francisco. On Course Productions has produced the Nike Run Hit Remix in Chicago and The Nike Plus Rock and Run in Chicago.
WHY IS NIKE SPONSORING THE HUMAN RACE?
Nike has joined forces globally to create the world’s largest running event, with the goal of helping humanity in the process through givebacks to global charities.
WILL THERE BE EXCLUSIVE NIKE+ HUMAN RACE GEAR?
Official Nike+ Human Race apparel and accessories will be available at various Nike retail stores throughout Chicago including: NIKETOWN Chicago and Fleet Feet. Official gear will also be sold online at www.nikestore.com.
DO I HAVE TO WEAR THE RACE SHIRT ON EVENT DAY?
Yes. The shirt identifies you as an official Nike+ Human Race participant and it’s your ticket to the post event concert.
AWARDS
WHAT PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED AND IN WHAT CATEGORIES?
Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers. All finishers will receive a specially designed Nike+ Human Race finisher’s award.
DO ALL RACERS RECEIVE A MEDAL OR CERTIFICATE?
Each Finisher will receive a specially designed Nike+ Human Race Finisher’s award.
