The Starttime
6:30 pm on August 31, Chicago will get its run on with the Nike+ Human Race .
The Venue
One of Chicago’s historic landmarks, Soldier Field, will play host to the Nike+ Human Race, with the iconic Chicago skyline serving as a backdrop.
The Course
The course heads south through The Museum Campus, a 57-acre green space and site of the Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum and Adler Planetarium. Proceeding to South Lake Shore Drive and continuing to 39th street, runners pass the proposed site of the 2016 Olympic Village. Upon arriving at the 39th Street Beach, runners turn north for the final three miles along the lakefront running path, a 20-mile path built for Chicagoans and considered by many to be one of the city’s crown jewels. Breathtaking views of Lake Michigan await the runner and shall provide inspiration to push through the final miles. On the home stretch, runners continue north through the Museum Campus and after turning west onto Waldron Drive, sprint to the finish, crossing the tape in the shadow of Soldier Field, home to the Monsters of the Midway, the Chicago Bears.
The Artist
Rock out with Fall out Boy will be rockin' the finish concert stage, heating up the night as runners cool down after their 10k race. The post-race concert will take place inside of Soldier Field where runners will be given VIP treatment with the opportunity to jam with Fall Out Boy right on the field.

Public Transportation:
Who knows Chicago best? Its CTA riders! Runners and volunteers are encouraged to carpool or take public transportation to Soldier Field. The CTA's Red, Green, Orange and Brown lines stop at Roosevelt Road and State Street. Simply proceed East on Roosevelt Road, under the pedestrian tunnel to Soldier Field. Bike Valet:
Go green! The race will have a secured bike valet for participants to check their bicycles during the event. The Bike Valet is provided by the Chicagoland Bicycle Federal members. (CBF) http://www.biketraffic.org/ is a non-profit bicycle advocacy organization working to improve bicycling conditions in the region. Bike Valet will be available from 5:00-10:00PM
Parking:
