On 31.8.2008, runners from around the world joined together to participate in the Nike+ Human Race 10K, an unprecedented event that united not only those in 25 official race cities, but also individuals using Nike+ wherever they were.

In the end, the Nike+ Human Race was one of our biggest success stories, with an official 779,275 participants representing 142 countries.

Nike was excited to provide an opportunity for so many people around the world to train and run together. Nike+ members who registered for the event logged nearly 2.5 million miles training for race day, issued 280,000 new challenges and by 8.31.2008, the Nike+ community had swelled to over 1.2 million members!
