Virtual Runners: 5 places to run!
We have compiled a list of favourite running routes by some of our Nike Athletes.
Here are five choice places you could choose to run your 10k on the 31.8.08:
East Coast Park:
Wake up early in the morning and head down to East Coast Park. It is away from traffic and one is able to run at ease without having to look out for cars or bicycles (since it is in the wee hours of the morning). East Coast is a continuous long flat stretch so you can definitely run a 10k there without having to stop, worry about getting injured and have a stress-free run.
Singapore Botanical Gardens:
It is always quiet and has nice greenery. So whilst clocking your 10k, you can be easily distracted and drawn in by the beauty of the greenery.
MacRitchie Reservoir:
It has different terrains for you to run on, was previously a National Schools Cross Country venue and you can clock your 10k at the MacRitchie 10km loop.
Around NUS:
It has a little bit of everything – busy and quiet roads, hills and flats, canal run, housing estates and a toilet in the middle just in case you need one.
Clarke Quay/Esplanade:
Singapore’s most renowned night spot is also a good choice route for a 10km run. Soak in the hustle and bustle of the riverside and enjoy the relatively flat terrain needed from a run.
