Run Effectively- Your Running Posture And the Effects of Bad Running Posture
In developing your training plan for running it is important to balance your endurance, strength endurance and speed components. Often overlooked among the more obvious physical requirements of running is the technical aspect. One of the most important technical aspects of running is running tall.

To put it simply, running tall is being stable through your core and being in line from feet through your hips and your shoulders to your head. Efficiency in running comes down to minimizing any unnecessary movement that will waste energy and slow you down.

The less movement you have through your core and in your upper body the better. Bear in mind though, we are not suggesting you run like a board so stay relaxed in your shoulders and with your arm carriage.

Having a poor running technique can lead to injury and cause you to perform below your potential so consider talking to a coach or experienced runner about drills you can do to improve your technique. Running drills break your technique into specific parts that you can work on individually that will greatly aid in improving your efficiency. Visit youtube.com or google running drills to view a number of drills online.
