My PB for a 10km is about 53 minutes

This PB was achieved in which race?
MILK Run 2005

What other 10km races have you ran?
Nike Real Run, New Balance Real Run, Mizuno Run, Great Eastern Women...

Why do you take part in these 10km races?
Take part with friends and to challenge myself

What time of the day do you usually train?
Usually in the morning

First running experience:
Previously I was a badminton player, so my first competitive running experience would be the 5k Nike Real Run in 2004

What is your purpose of running?
Running's my passion. Long-distance run trains endurance, perseverance, and mental strength. Running alone can be quality time spent with oneself too!

What goes inside your mind when the pain starts kicking in?
"I will finish the race." and "Never give up."

Any tips for beginners taking part in the 10km race?
Never tell yourself how long more the route ahead is. Instead, encourage yourself by telling yourself how far you have actually ran. If 10k is too long, break up the race into segments (eg. 3km markers) and aim to complete one segment at a time. Think of the satisfaction when u cross that finishing line!

How old do you think you will run until and why?
Until the day I die or till the day when my legs cannot move anymore. Because running is my passion!
