The Pride of London
Two runners were celebrating even more than most after claiming the ultimate accolade at the Nike+ Human Race.
Lucilla Andreucci, 38, from Kensington was the fastest woman, romping over the line in an awesome time of just 00:36:22 Flying the flag under Wembley's iconic arch, she showed the same poise that helped her sail past a field of 30,000 to claim her place. And with just 00:05:13 between her time and the Nike+ Human Race's fastest global 10Ker - Munich's Angela Roerkohl - Lucilla has again proved to the world that London runners are up there with the best of the rest.
Meanwhile for the men, Adam Sutton leapt, dipped, slalomed and chicaned his way through the pack to emerge victorious with a staggering time of 00:32:44, leaving the elite runners in wave 1 wondering if they were wearing the wrong wristband. Adam and Lucilla: a huge Nike+ congratulations to you both, and to everyone of the 20,000 runners who helped make London's truly a 10K like no other.
