"Tryouts For The Human Race"
The other day I had a conversation with my friend Mike that went something like this:
Mike: "Hey, remember Sparks?"
Julio: "No."
Mike: "C'mon! Sparks. You know, those cheesy 70s guys that Depeche Mode was really into?"
Julio: "Sorry."
Mike: "They put out a new album a couple years ago. I've been listening to it a lot."
Julio: "Great."
And that was about it. But I generally find that Mike has dependable taste in music, so I did some digging. And lo and behold...
Not only does the track give a time machine shoutout to the big 10K coming up, it actually becomes a pretty hot jam around 0:45. Like a disco "Eye of the Tiger"!
