Can't Take The Heat?
Holy Moses, it’s hot out! Despite trying to end every run at a beach or
a pool, there is a method to my madness in avoiding getting fried by
the blazing sun in the heat of the summer.
I have it nailed down to four “must-do’s”:
1. The Water-Fountain Crawl - I take the pub crawl concept to a whole
new level, planning my route around my local water fountain supply,
getting refreshed all along the way.
2. Up and at ‘em! Early morning runs are my favourite way to start the
day: cooler temperatures, peace and quiet and I go through the rest of
my day feeling pretty fabulous.
3. Wear a water belt - it took a bit of getting used to, but this way I know the tap won’t run dry.
4. Take the plunge! The ultimate rush is throwing myself into the crisp
ocean or a refreshing pool. This is truly the best way to end a
scorcher of a run.
