Are You Ready?
I’ve been a runner for as long as I can remember. I started out running track in lower school, slowly graduating to longer distances as I reached my 20’s, running my first 10 KM in 1999. I eventually tackled several Half Marathons and completed the Vancouver Marathon 2 years ago.

Back then, I didn't know very much at all – I just strapped on a pair of shoes and started to run. Fortunately, you can now tap into an informative resource like the Nike blog dedicated to running, training and everything in between. I’ve built up quite a bit of practical knowledge learning from experience, injuries and have done a ton of research along the way on the art of running – and yes, it is an art!

The Nike+ Human Race is an amazing event that will be happening at the end of this summer on August 31st – when else would you have the opportunity to run a race with the entire world?

Over the coming months, there’s a great team of us that will be blogging about different perspectives on running and getting set for the Nike+ 10KM – there will be something for everyone: young, old, novice or veteran. I will be sharing with you some helpful tips - from the right gear to the best trails, technical aspects of running such as your stride, posture and pace, and suggested training schedules and helpful resources. I’ll be highlighting the coolest gear and the Nike+ system that will undoubtedly be the highlight of my summer, while dialing you into a stellar line-up of groovy tunes to get you through each run.

So get yourself registered now, and get ready to be informed and follow along in our summer of running toward the Nike+ Human Race!
