84 New Places to Play in LA

March 19 2008
Los Angeles isn’t exactly known for its abundance of open spaces. Nike and the LA84 Foundation are teaming up to address the issue by creating 84 new play surfaces in LA.

And the announcement was certainly befitting of the size of the commitment. Serena Williams and P-Rod joined LA84’s President, Anita L. DeFrantz, in font of Nike’s Let Me Play mural on the Hotel Figueroa Wall to announce the big news.

The crowd was understandably excited. Almost as excited as the kids who will be playing on the new surfaces.
